Small Biedermeier side table, burr walnut, circa 1825
Small rectangular side table from the Biedermeier period. The apron and top are veneered with burr walnut on hardwood; the top is framed by a narrow, all-around gallery rail.
The apron accommodates a full-width drawer, with a brass knob as a handle. The burr veneer extends over the drawer front and side apron panels as a continuous pattern.
The base is made of solid oak: two slanted supports on curved footplates, connected by a wide crossbar at floor level.
The table has been professionally restored, and the shellac has been renewed. The table is ready for living spaces.
