Biedermeier secretary. The carcass is cherry-veneered and displays a continuous veneer pattern. It is topped by a pointed pediment with an ebonized profile strip. The sides are largely veneered, and the front shows a continuous veneer pattern. The furniture stands on ebonized block feet.

Behind the writing flap is an architecturally structured interior. In the center sits a door with framed panels, flanked by three small drawers with brass knobs on each side. Above it is another drawer with an ebonized central panel, which encloses an arched veneer panel. The interior drawers are covered with mirrored veneer.

When unfolded, the writing flap serves as a high-gloss ebonized writing surface. Below the flap are the drawers of the lower section, with keyhole escutcheons inlaid in ebonized shield shapes. The upper drawer has a hidden locking mechanism.
