Empire chest of drawers walnut with gilded caryatids 1830 Italy
The Empire chest of drawers made of walnut veneer on softwood is a wonderful piece of Italian craftsmanship from 1830 signed and dated " Giovacchino Tommasini di siena, anno 1830". The caryatids, which have been gilded, are carved in wood and give the piece of furniture an elegant look. A small secret compartment has been built into the top drawer. Not restored in its original condition, it is possible to arrange a restoration at an additional cost if the customer wishes.
