Two-door half cabinet (pillar cabinet) from the Biedermeier period, from Southern Germany. The corpus is made of softwood and cherry veneer; the veneer patterns are laid with an emphasized continuous grain.

Above the two doors is a continuous drawer. The inside of the doors are also originally veneered. The cabinet stands on short, block-like feet that protrude from the body edges.

The brass fittings have been cleaned. The cabinet has been restored, shellac-polished, and is ready for living.
