+++ CUSTOMER RESERVATION +++
Very richly inlaid table from the region around Sorrento (Italy), the city of Sorrento was in the middle of the 19th century. Known for high-quality inlays and marquetry work in various types of wood, walnut, maple, mahogany and other precious woods were used for the high-quality work. The octagonal table top is supported by a baluster base with three curved legs.
Under the table top there is a branding mark with the initials MR, which can probably be traced back to the master carpenter, unfortunately no further information can be found in the literature.
There are also parchment-like remains of a shipment with the number 45 and the name of a town in Sweden 'CARLSKRONA', which suggests that this table was sold to Sweden.
The table was made around 1850-1860 and has normal wear consistent with age.
The table has been cleaned and re-polished with shellac and is in good condition
